Madonna Del Carmine

The Chapel of the Madonna del Carmine is famous as it was home to a valuable painting depicting the Blessed Virgin of Carmel, stolen but promptly replicated.

The celebrations in honor of the Madonna take place on July 16 with a procession that starts from Montegiordano Centro up to the Chapel itself. Instead, on the first Sunday after Easter, the Madonna is carried in procession from her chapel in the village.

The feast of July 16th takes place in the plateau in front of the chapel with music, shows and stands of all kinds and represents an event particularly felt by the people of Jordan.
